7. I assumed it was going to be a sample. Janet is a Legend with an enormous catalog. It’s also hard to get her and other artists of her caliber who are also introverted to do new work. She cleared the sample for Kendrick to use on “Poetic Justice,” but it was years later before she actually met him in person. People often don’t live anywhere near each other also, which isn’t required but often is preferred by some Artists. This was a unique sample to use, Cardi definitely got into her creative Bag on this album to be as Unique as possible. It’s best to wait years and put out quality work than to do like Drake and release annually and it’s not good work.
