    1. I can't understand how people like Glinda. Elphaba is too nice to say she hopes Glinda is happy when Glinda is okay with incarcerating the animals.

    2. 😮 NOOOOO!!!this is, the most iconic song in Wicked and it sounds awful compared to the live performances in London nor the original!!! Cònsidering this isnt even a live performance, why did they think this was even close to good let alone great. SHAME!!! Another example of PCness over talent 😢. Go listen to the original performance. Go listen to Lucie Jones who grabs your heart right from the start and leaves you breathless.SHAME!! People dont watch things because they appreciate them anymore, they watch things just to say, "Ive been there". Otherwise this would be a deserved flop!! Hail Lucie Jones!!!

    3. I can’t stop blasting this on loud while doing house work it’s so addictive. This and popular is catchy AF! 🤩

    4. Defying Gravity was the first in a long line of Act 1 finales that stood out to me as a theatre kid! And now this is how you end a movie. Cynthia slayed just like I knew she was going to!

    5. When you consider that every note Cynthia sang was LIVE, whilst wearing a corset and harness, while flying around a greenscreen sound stage – that was some performance! She had to adjust where every breath was taken so she could 'fly' and sing at the same time.

    6. I remember being in high school between 2008 and 2012, and I was big into the performing arts; I was in chorus all four years and took drama and music theater in Freshman year before deciding they weren't for me, and EVERYWHERE I went everyone was gassing up Wicked. I just saw this movie today, this being my first exposure to Wicked, and I GET IT NOW. I completely understand the hype, and I am waiting with baited breath for next year so I can see how it all shakes out (I'll probably see Part 1 again just for the sheer joy of seeing it).

    7. I knew something was off because this sounds perfect. Maybe it was my theaters speakers but Cynthia's vocals sound amazing here but in the theater it sounded flat. Maybe could be an editing thing too.

    8. There is 0 emotion in this song seriously I feel like im in the twilight zone with everyone praising how "good" and "amazing" this is when it sounds like its sang by two souless AI!

    9. The original is unbeatable to me but they did really well! Cynthia’s singing is spectacular I actually don’t think she could show all her talent in this song (don’t get me wrong, the vocals are flawless, she just has such a warmth and depth in her voice which comes out in other songs even better). I love what she did with the ending, that’s even better than the Broadway version imo!

It’s a shame she’s said so many things that make her kinda unlikeable to me that I wasn’t even aware of before the massive spotlight of the Wicked promo. Have followed her music for years and think she’s one of the best singers of her generation but that dampens my enjoyment a bit.
